Director of Food Channel and Broker Sales
Carl is the Director of the Food Channel at Webco, where he collaborates with the Business Development Managers (BDMs) in the Food Division to manage and drive sales. In addition to overseeing current business, he focuses on generating new opportunities by working with new manufacturers and products. Carl is committed to shaping a stronger future for the company.
Before joining Webco, Carl spent 28 years at Safeway, with his most recent role as Hawaii Sales Manager, where he was responsible for writing Hawaii-specific advertisements and liaising with local vendors, including those in the liquor industry. Throughout his career at Safeway, Carl held a variety of positions, including:
Operations Manager
E-commerce Operations Manager (where he pioneered the e-commerce business for Safeway stores in Hawaii)
Field Merchandiser for General Merchandise and Health & Beauty (he helped expand the GM/HBC business in Hawaii and collaborated with stores to develop their programs)
Earlier in his career, Carl worked at Times Super Market for 17 years, holding various roles from courtesy clerk to store management, gaining a broad range of experience.
Carl also serves on the Board of Directors at the Hawaii Food Industry Association, where he
has served on numerous organizational committees.

Outside of work, Carl enjoys volunteering with the Hawaii Humane Society, Hawaii Food Bank, and Metro Christian Church. He is deeply committed to community service and believes strongly in the importance of giving back to others.
